Helping Needy Kids Succeed is as Easy as ABC!
THANK YOU! Because of the generosity of our supporters, 800 students will go back to school with the tools they need for success!
For the second year, Our Daily Bread (ODB) partnered with Collect for Kids in a County-wide effort to ensure that the neediest children in our community receive the supplies they need to succeed in school. The program is made possible through a partnership with Kids R First, Fairfax County Public Schools, the Fairfax County Office of Public and Private Partnerships numerous community-based organizations and businesses in the Fairfax County area who are working together to provide supplies in a more cost-effective and efficient way. (Pictured at right: Rotary Club of Bailey's Crossroads volunteers prepare to deliver supplies they donated through ODB's program to Falls Church schools.)
ODB collected hundreds of backpacks and calculators as well as enough funds to provide school supplies to more than 800 needy students!
Our goal was to help 700 kids. We exceeded that goal by 15%!
Thank You!

In 2011, Our Daily Bread worked directly with schools in the Fairfax County area, primarily focusing on the Fairfax High School pyramid, to provide school supplies to 438 of their neediest students.
In 2012, we are expanding our community outreach, serving both the Fairfax High School and J.E.B. Stuart High School pyramids, with a goal of serving 700 children. Through the buying power of Collect for Kids, ODB will be able to purchase all the supplies a student will need for the year for $15 for high schoolers and $10 or less for younger students!
